Candle One:
This candle stands for a mother in pain,
Clutching her child on selection day;
Pleading for mercy completely in vain,
That her child not be taken away.

Mr. Chaim Ben Ahron, born in Poland, survived the Vilna Ghetto, 3 Camps in Estonia and Dartmergen, liberated while on a death march accompanied by his son Marvin Ben Ahron
| Candle Two: This candle stands for this child-by now gone,
For dreams that ended before they started;
For his missions on earth all left undone,
When wrapped in flames this world he departed.

Mr. Simon Rosenkier, born in Wroclawek Poland, arrested at age 14 and sent to a work camp, survived Auschwitz and Birkenau where he was a victim of Mengele's experiments, survived the death march to Buchenwald and liberated from Buchenwald, accompanied by his daughter Allison

This candle stands for the old and the young,
For countless good-byes filled with emotion;
For thee lives unlived and songs unsung,
For the tears shed that could fill an ocean.

This candle stands for those martyrs unknown,
Who fought and died in a fearless manner;
On the streets of Warsaw they stood alone,
And glorified their blue and white banner.

This candle stands for the Jewish culture
That lived and flourished in Warsaw for long;
Before it was swept up by a vulture,
To the tune of madness, orgy and song.
Lit by: Mr. Abraham Steiner born in Transylvania, forced into slave labor on the Russian front and liberated by the Red army and Mrs. Hanna Steiner born in Transylvania, survived Auschwitz,
accompanied by their daughter Helene
| Candle Six:
This candle stands for 6 million Jews,
Who vanished in smoke without a trace;
Who did not survive to hear the news,
That we are still part of the human race.
