CHESED CONNECTIONS

Arden Heights Boulevard Jewish Center and the JCC of Staten Island, in conjunction with other local synagogues, are pleased to announce the Chesed Connections Program. This unique initiative is funded by UJA-Federation of New York and offers an opportunity for a social worker to provide a wide range of free supportive services, bringing SHLEIMUT or healing to those who need us within the synagogue environment.

EVERY FRIDAY NIGHT FROM 7-8PM, A HEALING SERVICE
LED BY RABBI STERN AND ANNA BERDICHEVSKAYA, M.S.W. (begins Nov 3)
heal problems of anxiety and depression through prayer, meditation, and singing (niggunim)

Mar 19 7-9PM Free workshop on the symptoms and treatment of depression, speaker Robert Scher, Director of Mental Health Services, SIUH

Social worker will be available at Arden Heights Boulevard Jewish Center every 1st and 3rd Wednesday of the month to offer:

* Individual Counseling
* Bereavement Support Group
* Cancer Support Group
* Caregivers Support Group
* Group discussions with seniors to explore options for healthy and independent living
*Lectures and workshops on topics related to community resources and more
*Information and assistance on NYC entitlements
*Visitation to frail and homebound elderly

All services are strictly confidential .. Chesed Connection Program helps Jews through life transitions and challenges by drawing on the resources of our community and traditions within a Jewish context

Cost of Services: There is no charge for this program. A grant from the UJA-Federation of New York funds Chesed Connections.
