The Jewish point of view is, I feel, is unique, and worth publicizing. HEBREW CLASSES EVERY THURSDAY BEGINNING NOV 8 (skipping Thanksgiving Thursday)Beginning Hebrew at 7:00 p.m.Every Jewish person should know Hebrew. The Jewish Outreach program says you can learn to read Hebrew in 5 lessons and is teaching this course all over North America. So, let's try it out and sharpen your reading skills/This knowledge is very useful when you visit Israel, pray in the Synagogue, and help your children with their Hebrew homework. Also, a pre-requisite for anyone wishing to have an adult B'nai Mitzvah (see below). Intermediate Hebrew at 7:45 p.m.If you know how to read the alphabet but want to become more proficient in reading Hebrew, let's develop our skills and learn how to read the prayer book. This class is designed to get you to know how to read words and form sentences. Advanced Hebrew/B'nai Mitzvah class at 8:15 p.m.If you have the basics but want to become more proficient and sophisticated, let's read Hebrew at an advanced level, develop a working vocabulary, and learn to read the prayer book and the Torah at a rapid pace. This class will also serve as the B'nai Mitzvah class for anyone wishing to spend the year preparing for an Adult Bar or Bat Mitzvah. Adult Bar/Bat Mitzvah Training ProgramPerhaps you missed your Bar/Bat Mitzvah and would like to have one as an adult, you are invited to make a commitment to an 8-month course of study that will provide you with the skills to read Hebrew, sing the prayers, and chant the Haftorah and Torah portions.
